Welcome to the course in Philosophy of Computer Science!
Keeping Up I expect you to visit the course web site regularly to see if changes have been made. Class attendance is compulsory. (80% presence is required for the course in total). Lateness Students who arrive late disturb the class, so please do your best to be on time. Taking Lecture and Class Notes A regular note taking is a learning- and examination form in this course. At the end of the course you are expected to send me a Word file with the complete class notes for the whole course, including class discussions, approximately five A4 pages for each one of three sections of the course [which makes about 15 pages in total]. Your class notes may include your critical reflections and comments, as well as the account of the most important ideas and arguments. Doing Your Own Work When you turn in an assignment, it is expected to be the result of your work. Do not copy anyone else's work or let anyone else copy yours. In contrast, working together to understand lecture material and problems is encouraged. Late Assignments No late assignments are accepted except under very unusual conditions. Those exceptions must be arranged in advance unless associated with some extremely unpredictable event. In-Class Activities Class is divided in groups during bee-hive discussion meetings. You are supposed to actively take part in the discussions. Grading 3, 4, 5. Examination Forms
